Ginger Indian Restaurant in Harris Park prides itself on making great home style meals of restaurant quality. The restaurant is located inside a heritage house which enhances the cosy and inviting atmosphere. You'll feel welcome too after enjoying the Malai kofta – potato & cottage cheese dumplings in a creamy cashew sauce; or the Kadai chicken with onion, capsicum and tomatoes.

I'M a sucker for a cosy, heritage-listed cottage with separate small dining rooms.
When that comes with charming service, the food is a bonus. I'd have been surprised if Ginger, after part-owner Vandana Setia's welcome, did not deliver. And it does, in spades. Ginger specialises in the food of northern India, emphasising Mughlai cuisine. After complimentary pappadums (flecked with cumin) and a mint-cream dipping sauce, we shared paneer tikki ($7.50) and a tandoori platter ($16.90) followed by lamb rezzala and achari chicken (both $14.90).
